Polaris is the market standards body for UK general insurance e-trading. My role is to ensure those standards are in line with regulatory and legislative changes, working with insurers, brokers, software houses and trade bodies such as ABI and BIBA across both personal and commercial lines.I run a team of three business analysts, and have so far worked on projects including renewal transparency, the Insurance Distribution Directive and General Data Protection Regulation. I've also substantially overhauled the Polaris user subscription process, including development of supporting pages on the Polaris website.In April I completed my EU General Data Protection Regulation Practitioner qualification and am now, in addition to the duties above, the Data Protection Officer for Polaris.
