Creating an entirely new technical graduate training scheme, with focus on specific annual operations just before the time of need. This includes web pages for back referencing and delivery of future updates. Reimagining the technical staff onboarding process to ensure that all vital information about how to work at Tilhill is delivered and can be learned/found at the time of need using an LMS called Articulate. Identification of HSEQ system possibilities and improvements. Including consideration of alternative systems and their varying functions and abilities.

After working for Octopus on a self-employed basis, I decided to accept a full-time position as an Energy Specialist, mainly working on training new Energy Specialists joining the company and upskilling existing ES.Octopus had gone from a start-up to a multinational supplier and one of the big six in the UK. I was asked to be part of a team to develop the training materials from live training using slides to a hybrid training system using LMS and zoom calls. This was due to COVID and the volume of new starts.

Octopus Energy was an exciting start up when I joined. I joined as a "digiop", which was a remote working Energy Specialist. Octopus was the new kid on the block Energy Supplier and made huge waves in the energy industry.We supported customers through the quote, sign up, switching, supply, billing and leaving process. With everything in between, including meter issues and industry procedures, we did everything to do with the maintenance of individual customers supplies.
