Main Achievements.Led the development team in updating the legacy codebase for safaricom.com from JSP to React js in order to deliver features more quickly and ensure easy reusability of components.Developed a content portal to assist our media partners upload digital content to sell to customers easily and way faster. It’s currently been used in managing E-papers sold in Kenya by the various media partners.Led the Safaricom world team in separating header enrichment from the main domain i.e. safaricom.com and have it as a standalone service running as a lambda function. Main Achievements.Revamped the masoko website(https://masoko.com) by updating the legacy codebase (specifically on the frontend bit) from PHP (Magento) to React js for easy reusability of components, delivery of features more quickly, better performance, and better load time. The process before, for adding new UI components in Magento was quite tedious especially if the logic involved in the components was complex.Also learned the Agile methodology.Day to DayMaintaining and adding new features to the website.Developing a progressive web app using modern technologies to reduce load times and improve user experience.
