I’m passionate about education reform and ensuring that all students and communities have access to excellent instruction and opportunity, regardless of their background or zipcode. At KIPP Austin Academy of Arts & Letters, I lead teachers in honing their craft and improving their impact on student outcomes.I have 12 years of teaching experience with a decade of exceptional results for students, securing some of the highest growth and achievement scores for students in my organization, the state, and the national networks I have served in. I have earned two national teaching awards, the KIPP National Harriet Ball Award and the TNTP National Fishman Prize for Teaching Excellence. I've served as a campus-based leader for the past 6 years and have led my departments in outperforming our school academic targets 4 of the 6 years.I graduated with a Masters in Education Policy from Johns Hopkins University and also a hold a Bachelors in History and a Bachelors in Business from Southwestern University.
