About Sarah Thomas

As a child, I decided that I would enter the field of Prosthetics. This may sound young, but, I have a foster brother who is an amputee, and it was his childhood experiences that intrigued me, drew me in, and, ultimately devoted me to the field. I am an ABC certified CPO. I have been working in the field of O&P since 1999. I am very passionate about my patients, and their care, as well as educating them to be successful in their rehabilitation goals. Presently, I work three weeks a month for Hanger clinic in the state of Vermont and one week a month down in the Caribbean on St. Croix US Virgin Islands. working in these two very different areas with very different climates, different environmental challenges, as well as patient populations and expectations has really pushed me to broaden my horizons, think outside the box and elevate my level of care to match the needs of my patients no matter the human, environmental or cultural challenges I face.
