I have always been interested in driving performance and continuous improvement, starting with myself, to the group, extending to the company that I work for. I embrace new challenges as well as ambiguity, and am willing to do whatever it takes within my power and ethical integrity to make things happen for the betterment of the team and ultimately the company.Good quality system management needs to be a mindset and cultural attitude alignment from the top to bottom of an organization in order to reap the benefits of lower total cost and customer loyalty. However, in a cost conscious competitive environment, it does not have to be all or nothing proposition, but can be done incrementally - building from little successes: e.g. in an analysis of product excursion records, I have categorized the excursions into design/mfg/materials buckets and was able to identify 3 main areas of improvement for each bucket. When asked why this kind of analysis was not done, I was told that the records were used to manage the actual excursion event, not a tool to improve quality - so a valuable improvement resource was not used.
