The Production Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the planning and execution of production activities for events and sponsorship activations at the Harbourfront Centre main building and outdoor venues as assigned, and at the Fleck Dance Theatre and Harbourfront Centre Theatre as required. This position also assists the Manager, Production with the development of department training and procedures manuals, training new staff and supporting the centralization of production processes, and providing input into the development of innovative methods of working and implementing new systems, as well as high-profile events and special projects. The Production Manager analyzes and evaluates the need for production support for assigned events and festivals, including production schedule and cost estimates, planning, developing and scheduling all necessary deliverables required for an event, and supervision of Assistant Production Coordinators.

• Responsible for the day-to-day planning, management, and supervision of the technical operations of the theatre and coordinating any necessary technical repairs or maintenance.• Creates the overall schedule for the building and determines use of its spaces, and the scheduling and time management of all casual and contract technical employees.• Working within a group setting of key stakeholders, balances resources, budget, and time in execution of events.• Creates production schedules, production cost estimates, budgets, and rental contracts for internal and external events and personnel.• Produced over 65 events in the 2019 calendar year with 210 programmed days.

• Determines and implements all technical requirements for internal and rental events ranging from school lectures to large-scale musical productions in the areas of lighting, sound, video, rigging, set planning, and construction.• Created plans for external rental clients for how to realize their event goals within the space, overseeing budgets, scheduling time and crew in the space, preparing technical documents and gear for handoff, and responding to feedback and post-mortem concerns from clients.• Sets up and executes the livestreaming of lectures and sporting events with multi-camera shoots and live production broadcast equipment.• Maintains all technical inventory in good working order, completing or sourcing repairs or replacement parts for equipment, budget supervision, developing plans and safe working protocols, monitoring and confirming adherence to ministry health and safety requirements.• Manages a call list of 20 to 50 workers, as well as supervising their work.• Trains students and new workers in the areas of lighting, audio, video, stage management, set construction, camerawork, livestreaming, and networking.• Oversees the theatre as a facility including HVAC controls, lighting, maintenance, cleaning, security and control systems.• Produced over 95 events during the 2016-2017 fiscal year, with 195 programmed days.• Produced over 90 events during the 2015-2016 fiscal year, with 185 programmed days.

Ashkenaz Festival 2018• Contacted all artists to identify production needs and requirements, riders, and stage plots.• Created the overall production schedule for the festival, and stage plots when none were provided.• Coordinated all rentals, backline, staffing, recording, and itineraries for the festival. • Identified where there were time conflicts with members across multiple groups, within venues, or with crew turnarounds and applied updates to the production schedule.• Worked with the venues’ production coordinator to disseminate key information and directions.• Acted as the key link between the artists and the venues’ technical directors to disseminate accurate information to ensure a smooth-running event day-of. • Oversaw the $100,000+ production budget, determined spending, and finding efficiencies.

• Compiled production information to determine all elements and logistics for specific events and festivals, including resource requirements and allocation, creation of production schedules, determination and reconciliation of revenue, equipment distribution, rental of services and equipment, box office & front of house details, as well as supervising assistant production coordinators and maintaining partnerships with service departments.• Prepared production packages for all aspects of events and festivals including diagrams of set-ups, security, electrical, catering, and technical: sound, lighting, video, and scenic elements information.• Assisted in developing key reports for service departments, technicians, and automation of pulling data from Artifax Event software into easily readable reports.• Produced over 75 festivals and events in this position including the Dora Awards from 2013 to 2015, China Now 2014 (with over 80 international artists), and the Toronto International Circus Festival from 2012 to 2015.

Provide stage management support for events in York Quay Centre including confirming all required staff are present and briefed, meeting/greeting the user group and performers, introducing them to the technicians and other applicable support staff, reviewing production schedule details (i.e., event start time, breaks), assigning dressing rooms, ensuring hospitality requirements are met, issuing/receiving cheques, keys, deposits.- Ensure the "house" is prepared and all front of house details are addressed (reserved seating assigned, wheelchair access/seating, meet and assist VIP's, lobby set up, display material etc.)- Ensure everything is in order during an event regarding set-up, production and strike- Provide customer service for Harbourfront Centre patrons (e.g., responding to customer concerns, complaints, and inquiries; providing information on specific Harbourfront Centre events and programmes).- Other related duties such as completing event reports, placing event signage, access control, securing venues, and ensuring building fire & emergency regulations and room capacities are adhered to.
