Brought on as a part of the team that makes up the connecting layer between users and the development of the software. Now, a layer above helping assist current 1st Level Support team.- Hear from users about problems they've encountered, and either working with them to help them gain the knowledge to go about the task they're having trouble with or getting the necessary information when a problem goes from being lack of how-to to a problem in the feature itself.- Using what's gathered to replicate and lay out problems with features so they can be reviewed and actioned.Through this role, I've then been able to extend to helping out the development side of things by:- Again, providing the relevant reproduction steps (and additional information) to issues whether they be a failure in the feature or where a feature could be improved to meet the needs of users.- Reviewing development tickets to make sure details needed to complete cover what is needed, included Release Notes if needed. - Testing builds of the software before they're approved for going live, including:- - Checking and giving advice when it comes to changes being fit for purpose.- - Some simple automations of UI based tests to make sure features work through their UI elements.- Work on helping some development items mostly involving the software's reporting based features, working with:- - SQL Stored Procedures.- - Report Builder RDLC's.- - And on occasion with main application/services.
