Likey is a social network that helps users find and meet friends based on similar interests. My initial focus was ownership of the Android application. Key features of the app include custom photo editor for posts, real-time chat, push notifications, and a unique navigation to allow for fast and intuitive browsing of users. I also introduced and led the implementation of Scrum within the company. I worked closely with the product design team to develop and validate requirements against project plans as well as market viability. With the first version of the Android app completed, my focus shifted to other areas. This entailed a migration of our services to target the Azure platform and performance optimizations in both the Laravel-based API and data stores. Tech stack included Android (Kotlin), iOS, PHP/Laravel, MySQL, Azure Table/EventHub/App Service.

My primary role and responsibility was the development and design of a variety of software-as-a-service products. The largest and most profitable of our offerings was Pubcentral – an online multi-tenant content assessment application. The platform is used to validate, review/refine and launch content in various forms including textbooks, websites and/or course material. Customers include McGraw-Hill, LWW, Pearson, Wiley and other publishers. Pubcentral was acquired by PageMajik.In addition to our product offerings, I was responsible for the discovery, development and vendor management of technologies for optimal efficiencies in day-to-day operations. I was also responsible for contributing to the strategic direction of the company which included understanding/analyzing market opportunities and development of marketing strategies.

Architect, team and tech lead for a new purchasing system for one of the nation's largest home builders. Key features included the ability to promote plan changes across organizational structures, maintain a history, version of changes and compare changes, and several advanced methods of cost capture. I was responsible for the design and architecture of the system as well as the leadership and guidance of the development team. This meant domain and model design, research & implementation of tech stack and frameworks, development of core components, interfacing with business executives, and leading a team of developers. I was also responsible for helping the client and team execute the Scrum process. This system utilized domain-driven design and a rich SPA client.Desktop client and team lead of a new property management system in the hospitality industry for one of the largest property management system providers. The core modules included, accounting, property, inventory, and guest reservations. I was largely responsible for architectural components such as system navigation, claims management, error handling, service communication, payment processing and cross-module collaboration. As the desktop client and team lead, I was tasked with designing, communicating, and mentoring on the UI architecture to ensure best practices were followed. I was also responsible for guiding and managing the team, which included skill assessment, task assignments, coordination with other architects and leads on the project. Led and developed a social trip-tracking application for the Android device and back-end API. This application is a vehicle for a high profile client and brand. It allows users to track their trips, add pins containing media, and share those trips within their social network.Development of an API and Dynamics CRM customizations to surface and capture patient check-in and tech notes (on an iPad) for one of the largest medical imaging providers.
