As a research assistant with the Center for Local, State, and Urban Policy (CLOSUP) at the Ford School of Public Policy, I contribute to the “Close Up on the U.P.” program. My work involves leveraging data from the Michigan Public Policy Survey (MPPS) to analyze the perspectives of local government leaders across Michigan's Upper Peninsula (U.P.). By reviewing and interpreting survey data, I assess the impacts of public policy on various communities within the U.P., providing insights that support informed decision-making and drive effective local governance.
