I am interning at the Lieutenant Governor's office for the 2015 Legislative Session. Utah's LG office oversees state elections, candidate and lobbyist disclosure, apostilles, and notaries. As an intern, my duties fall across the board and I help fill the gaps during this busy season.

Intern as Personal Aid to a State Senator. My duties include schedule organization, correspondence, and meeting minutes. It is my job to make sure the Senator is where he needs to be when he needs to be there and that all parties involved are aware of time and location. I take meeting minutes and write up summaries, and bullet pages for easy reference. I am the buffer between lobbyists and the senator. While the Senator is in important conversations with other lobbyists, constituents, or other legislatures, I perform onsite administrative duties and handle additional inquiries.
