Trading as Mollers for Style is the new fabric house for the Resene and Mood range of fabrics. A large commercial outfit that produces made to measure curtains and blinds as well as readymade curtains for the independent and large national chains. We also had an in home division responsible for custom drapery into Hotels, Hospitals, retirements villages and individual homes.Whilst in this role, I;• Grew the business from 4 part-time staff to 25 full time staff• Focused on strategic growth and implemented financial control measures • Increased of sales nationwide 4 fold; led the business to be profitable• Was responsible for all aspects of the business; sales, marketing, forecasting, staff, international purchasing• Oversaw the acquisition, transfer and set-up of a company that was larger than the current set-up• Moved the operation, through a planned approach and getting the right people on board the company was able to shift premises, set-up the new organisation and still maintain service levels and growth predictions.• Sold my share of the business, leaving a robust business with good sales an increased based of 136 monthly customers throughout New Zealand. This role encompassed the teaching of a number of modules to blue chip organisations as part of the Business Improvements Techniques course. Topics taught included: Human Resources and Legislation, Project Management, Business Improvement Techniques, Strategic Operations Management/Supply Chain Management. As well as supporting the students in a range of on the job projects in their organisations.• Increase in understanding of business practices • Drew on my previous studies and experience to create lessons that inspired the students• Worked within large organisations such as Bombardier Transportation, British Aerospace as well as a number of County Councils under the model from UOD• Covered various topics at degree level including; Business Control Techniques, Project Management, Business Legislation, HR, Lean Principals and Innovation• Driven by an understanding of business growth; all projects undertaken covered a business need and impacted an area of the business directly• Experience of the power of change management and working as a team to create outcomes

This role incorporated the marketing of The Health Stores shops, the company as a wholesaler to the shops owners and suppliers products to the shops. Within this role was a need to run the marketing department profitably whilst maintaining a high standard of print media and presence at tradeshows in the UK, Ireland and abroad.

This fulfilment and distribution business was based in Leicestershire in the UK. Throughout my role here I was taught and guided by the CEO and owner of the organisation. My role was to market to, and then bring on board large blue chip clients such as PepsiCo International, Nespresso and before leaving was working on bringing Walt Disney on board. Through my time in this business I learnt to engage with large business at a director level, confer and collaborate with owners and managers within the organisation and voice my opinions in a clear and concise with evidence to support the position I was taking.
