Despite this, as the product evangelist it was my job to convince my colleagues of its value but also to present its benefits at conferences and webinars. Recognising that the product was in decline led me to create a requirements specification for a new product in a complementary domain considering the product’s fit within the portfolio, an analysis of the competitive landscape, its value proposition, a projected ROI, and its route to market. I’m pleased to say the product now has several happy customers, and it was my work in this role which earned me a promotion to Senior Product Manager.
