I am responsible for Inceptua's Early Access business unit, supporting pharmaceutical and biotech companies in making their medicines available to patients in need before commercialization. We work with Top 10 Pharma companies, through to small, niche biotechs as their trusted partner to ensure rapid, compliant provision of unlicensed medicines.We support all forms of Early Access, Compassionate Use, Named Patient Supply, Expanded Access, managing all regulatory submissions, supply chain, physician interactions and data collection.We have a truly global reach, with programs operational in over 100 countries spanning all 6 continents. From ultra-rare disease, to blockbuster oncology assets, from straightforward supply chain to complex, cold chain <2hr delivery for emergency treatments, Inceptua Early Access can develop custom programs for any asset, ensuring physicians and patients get the opportunity to use a promising new medicine potentially years before it will be available commercially. I was part of the management team who set up Inceptua Early Access in 2017. Within 12 months of launch, we secured Inceptua as the 2nd-placed vendor in the sector, based on number of active programs.

Responsible for delivering innovative RWE strategies to support product launches for IQVIA’s pharmaceutical clients. Contributed to the development of the initial node of IQVIA’s CODE (Collaboration for Oncology Data in Europe), a ground-breaking system providing real-time access to physician-validated patient data from major oncology centres across the EU.

I set up a global consulting division which developed value-add services in the early access space. Responsible for developing the first corporate early access strategies, early access demand forecasting, early access-specific real-world evidence systems, reimbursement/payor analysis, and compliant communications.Line management responsibility for a global team of consultants, and budget responsibility for the department.

Developed and implemented the EU strategy for the world’s leading provider of Early Access Programmes (EAPs). Led business-critical projects across the company, including: the business case for opening an international office, an analysis of ‘Pharmerging’ markets with regard to unlicensed medicine supply, assessments of product in-licensing opportunities, and a project to establish global reimbursement processes for unlicensed medicines.Responsible for all of Idis’ public affairs and advocacy activities, and for developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with key strategic organisations e.g., EURORDIS, GlobalGenes and NORD.

I provided guidance to the EANO Board on issues ranging from harmonisation of treatment guidelines, impacts of EU legislation on neuro-oncology treatments, through to assessing clinical developments in the field of neuro-oncology.

Led an international healthcare IT programme, allied to the UK Department of Health’s Research Capability Programme, and fed in to the development of the government’s Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD). The CPRD was designed to facilitate access to NHS data for research purposes. I set the strategic direction of the group, managing a team of 12, forming alliances with organisations such as the National Institutes of Health, the Wellcome Trust and the Medical Research Council.

I was responsible for all media, marketing and advertising activities for a pan-European federation of oncologists. I managed all media activities around the European Cancer Conference and the European Breast Cancer Conference, produced scientific newsletters, press releases and position papers on EU policy etc.
