Italy, Croatia And Norway

Oversaw construction and commissioning activities including staff and contractors in Italy, Croatia, Norway, and the UK. Developed joint venture progress metrics for stakeholders such as BP, Exxon Mobil, Shell, ConocoPhillips, Total, Petrobras, Chevron, and BG. Spearheaded the completion of SWRP – a project in an industry leading development in response to the Macondo incident to develop and construct well-capping equipment for 600m to 3,000m water depths. Created an industry award-winning piece of subsea safety equipment while completing the project on time and within budget.

During my time in this role, I guided construction, commissioning, and completion of project development and execution. In addition, I participated as a key member of the Construction Management Network of Excellence and Construction Management TMT. I developed, created, and maintained UKCPMS procedures for construction, commissioning, MC, and completions. Beyond creating project contract strategies and plans, selecting contractors, negotiating terms, setting contract strategies, bidding on new contracts, and administering contracts, I also devised execution strategies that ensured a high degree of completion onshore and efficient offshore hookup, commissioning, startup, and hand-over. I also monitored and followed up on project progress, manpower, productivity, and budget to address areas of concern and mitigate risks.Ensured HSE&Q policies and procedures were adhered to during audits and attended quarterly HS meetings with contractors. Guaranteed project construction, MC, commissioning, and T&I activities and deliverables were completed in accordance with UK and N-CPMS project management directives and requirements and supported project objectives and priorities. Staffed the team with individuals possessing the required skills and competence to complete all project phases. Prevented delays by ensuring projects were completed on time and proposed recommendations to mitigate areas of concern. Promoted knowledge sharing and applied best practices, synergies, and lessons learned from other projects and operations.

Spain

Developed and implemented mechanical completion activities on new build topsides – both topsides and bridges were constructed in the Dragados yard in Southern Spain. Managed mechanical completions, punch coordination, and testing activities. Oversaw the GoCompletions software creation and population. Interfaced with clients to determine how to better meet their needs. Maintained sail away dates for offshore installation while coordinating and managing a large team of individuals.

Norwegian Sector

Managed the safe installation of the HAVEN accommodation vessel to the Ekofisk platform offshore in Norway. Oversaw contractors, clients, budgets, and HSE. Led and directed contractors, interfaced with Conoco Phillips as the client, adhere to budgets, and other critical tasks during offshore work. Adhered to the tight schedule from sail away from the fabrication yard with an aggressive offshore schedule and time critical deadlines needing to be met to achieve no disruption to the Ekofisk platform. Achieved all scheduled milestones with no incidents.

Norway

Responsible for the coordination of multi discipline workforce comprising of several nationalities. Full construction role including work preparation, permit generation, HSE, Progress reporting, Schedule of works. Client interface on a regular basis to achieve scope of the contract Sole responsibility for construction, testing and documentation of the piping and engineering works Coordination with other department heads to achieve cohesion between the areas of workThis project gave me the ability to showcase my talents for coordination andwork preparation; with a strong approach I was able to turn this project frombehind to 4% ahead of schedule.

Mongstad, Norway

Completed the first carbon capture project in Norway at Mongstad TCF Facility. Oversaw all facets of construction, staff, and budgets to ensure on time completion, including high levels of civil and piping discipline work. Achieved no HSE issues during completion of tasks, constant client -contractor negotiations and development of a sustainable schedule.

Providing piping / mechanical supervision expertise during destruct / construct works. The coordination of NDT, insulation, scaffolding and painting requirements with subcontract supervision. Liaise with QA/QC to implement technical queries and build instructions. Ensuring "as built" drawings and weld maps are documented. Progress analysis of project to achieve time completion. Interface with multi national workforce and sub contractors to achieve safety and cost control. Attend client and contractor meetings to control project development.
