I provide Vehicle Dynamics, Ride & Handling, Active-Control Systems and Stability Control engineering expertise for development of conventional, hybrid & electric vehicles in the Automotive and Motorsport industries. I possess a broad & in-depth understanding of vehicle design, manufacture and development, a solid understanding of vehicle behaviour in the ground plane and extensive experience of calibrating/developing chassis & driveline performance. Most recently I was involved as a Lead Development Engineer on the chassis development prototype of a high performance hybrid hypercar for a luxury British automotive OEM. Prior to this I developed stability control & active chassis/driveline systems on premium Saloon and SUV products for another British luxury OEM.Previously providing race engineering support in the MSV F3 Cup on various F3 chassis' as well as GT2 & GT3 machinery in domestic and international championships. Including data logging & analysis, control systems calibration, setup & strategy and driver tuition. This involved vehicle dynamic setup, damper setup, kinematic behaviour, aerodynamic influence and powertrain driveability.My career is based on developing a broad understanding of Vehicle Dynamics; involving initial vehicle attributes concepts, suspension geometry and kinematics, multi-body simulation, vehicle dynamic capability and physical vehicle testing and evaluation. Understanding of modern control theory and implementation in a modern vehicle's numerous active chassis and driveline systems (ie active AWD centre-coupling, E-Diff, active brake control, powertrain torque control, torque-vectoring).A highly experienced test driver, with vehicle control and assessment skills developed to an extremely high standard. Fully capable at and beyond the handling limit of a vehicle on any surface. Familiar with proving ground procedures worldwide.
