As a shift leading hand I work with operations and mechanical teams to maintain and ensure the power station runs to its demand capacity ensuring maximum availability for end the customer. Tasks include:• Plant routine maintenance tasks, breakdown fault finding on the power station's thirty, 1 and 2MW gas and diesel fired generators • HV Switching of 11KV switchgear. • Maintenance and repair of field instruments including, CAT EMS systems, gas flow, pressure, temperature instruments• PLC and SCADA system diagnosis during break downs, trending faults.

As a shift maintainer I work with the operations and mechanical teams to maintain and ensure process plant and concentrator on site are operational to their designed capacities. Tasks include:• Plant routine maintenance tasks, as per plant maintenance schedule directed / working with planning and scheduling personnel. Breakdown fault finding, when required during shift. • HV Switching of ABB, Siemens, Reyrolle HV switchgear. Some with remote switching systems and others physically with appropriate arc flash rated equipment.• Maintenance and repair of field instruments including, flow, pressure, temperature and level detection.• PLC and SCADA system diagnosis during break downs, trending faults on motor / instruments. • Permit and Isolations officer for HV and LV throughout plant. Placement of isolations for plant personnel.• Was positioned for 9 months on the Western Turner Syncline overland conveyor commissioning team.

Leadership,supervision and hands on in both electrical installation and operations including: - Hazardous area, Installation, testing and commissioning, - Fault finding including PLC and SCADA systems diagnoses, - P & ID loop drawings for instrument and control loops. - HV installations2.
