CurrentI oversee content for the New Zealand Herald, its four news-inserted magazines and NZME’s five regional and 17 community mastheads. I set up the Print Hub - a new business unit within NZME - and I’m responsible for running the team producing the print products. It is a vital role ensuring high-quality, engaging and trustworthy journalism across all our print mastheads and titles. I help plan and execute the packaging of content, ensuring smooth liaison between multiple smaller teams while maintaining the highest of standards. I set priorities and direction of our print publications, lead a team deciding placement of series; I liaise with content generators, marketing, advertising and legal when required.I’m responsible for staff engagement and welfare for a team of 23 around New Zealand.
