Problem-solving is one of my greatest passions. Growing up my mom would buy me puzzles to keep me busy. I loved sitting in front of those puzzles working on them and learning from each mistake until I was able to find a solution. When working in Help Desk I loved the challenge each outage brought. Working with the non-technical operations team members to troubleshoot so we could isolate and escalate to the appropriate team to solve the outage. Through my career, I was able to find the greatest puzzle in software engineering. Each day has a new puzzle or ways to better solve a problem. I believe that anything is possible and the power of programming can help improve our lives and the world we live in.I first was introduced to programming when I started as a CRM Administrator. The client needed to have a change to the Oracle Service Cloud customer portal which was written in PHP and we did not have a PHP Developer to make the changes. Instead of waiting for the programming team to hire an expert, I decided to look into the code and make full use of google.com, and PHP guides to find a solution. I was able to solve their problem and I found the love of programming. Each time a new project came up that needed a programming solution I jumped in whether it was learning PHP, C#, JavaScript, CSS, or HTML to help deliver a solution to my client’s problem. I decided to take my learning to the next level by getting my degree in Software Development where I was able to learn more about software design, software project management, object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and code structures like Model View View Model (MVVM) and Model View Controller (MVC). Learning additional languages such as Java, SQL, XML, and Android Development. Software Engineering is always changing and it is important to continue to learn and explore new technologies quickly so you can help your clients solve their problems. I’ve started learning additional technologies like Java EE, Sprint Boot, AngularJS, Kubernetes, and Docker. I am excited to watch the world of technology grow and look forward to helping solve problems one line of code at a time.
