I am a NED and independent legal business services consultant. A qualified lawyer with 30+ years’ experience advising law firms and legal departments on strategy, knowledge management, innovation (including digitisation and uses of AI) and more broadly on all aspects of service and efficiency improvement in the legal and charity sectors.Born in Ethiopia, with dual British/Nigerian heritage, I enjoy building the necessary relationships across cultural and organisational complexity to deliver programmes and projects most effectively. A trained Mental Health First Aider, I am also an active champion of diversity, equality and inclusion, currently on the board of an Africa-wide STEM educational charity, an observer on the board of a Uganda-based charity providing extended family care to children, an adviser to a Rwandan-based charity looking to scale the Maths Olympiad approach into an immersive educational experience to develop maths talent in Africa and have been on the board of my local community arts charity, my undergraduate university alumni association and am a past chair of the advisory board to the Social Mobility Foundation. I am also a Visiting Lecturer in the Faculty of Law at Oxford where I set up (and chair) the Industry Mentor Group for the University’s postgraduate Law & Computer Science Programme, and a LawTech UK mentor. With Master's degrees from Oxford and SOAS as well as an MBA from Henley Business School, I am a regular speaker on the knowledge, innovation and operational change circuit, and a Fellow of the RSA
