Following on from a legal apprenticeship with Cleaver Fulton Rankin Solicitors, Stuart qualified as a solicitor in Northern Ireland in 2004 with Hewitt & Gilpin Solicitors, working as a solicitor in its commercial department before joining Tughans Solicitors, at that time the largest commercial law practice in Northern Ireland, in 2005.Working in the Tughans corporate department, Stuart was instrumental in establishing the Partnership Unit and developing expertise in Partnership law, particularly GP Partnerships, Limited Partnerships and Limited Liability Partnerships.Stuart also worked on a range of commercial transactions including private equity transactions, mergers/de-mergers and acquisitions, company re-constructions and joint ventures. Stuart is one of the very few Northern Ireland Solicitors to be dual qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser.Horner Solicitors was established in November 2009 by Stuart Horner and became Horner Solicitors Ltd in March 2014.On 31 October 2014 Horner Solicitors merged with MKB Law Ltd with Stuart Horner joining the Business and Commercial Department of MKB Law as a Solicitor.Stuart's main practice areas are: Corporate/Commercial services, Group Re-structuring, Private Equity, Corporate Security, Owner Managed Businesses, Shareholder Agreements, Partnerships, LLPs, Tax, Private Client, Wills, Trusts & Estates, Charities and Property.
