• Optimized optical tweezers apparatus to maximize trapping force on 2.56μm glass beads and applied angular momentum using a vortex retarder.• Assembled optical systems including interferometers, Fabry-Perot cavity, spatial light modulators, and optical aberrations.• Programmed Mathematica to solve ray transfer matrices for thin films, Fabry-Perot interferometer, Bragg gratings, and stacks of dielectric material. • Utilized Zemax to build SLR lens, and modeled the specifications of the air glow imager I built as an undergraduate.

• Designed HVAC, plumbing, and lighting floor plans for building and renovation projects including the 8.1 billion dollar rail system project on the island of Oahu. • Calculated thermodynamic heat transfer in buildings by accounting for room area, number of projected people, and window space in an Excel program. • Characterized relief valve piping on water chillers and programmed a calculator for future designs.• Collaborated with clients and building contractors in drawing up plans for construction and renovations.
