After obtaining a B.A. degree from Vanderbilt University, and completing graduate work in real estate and finance at the University of Florida, Stuart Kaye moved to Naples to pursue a career in real estate. Mr. Kaye, a licensed real estate broker since 1983, spent the early 80’s involved in real estate consulting, performing market research and feasibility studies in southwest Florida and throughout the southeastern United States. In 1986 a research project turned into a condominium development, which ultimately blossomed into the construction of close to 4,000 homes throughout Collier and Lee counties. From the late 1980’s, Mr. Kaye developed multifamily communities including Emerald Woods, Emerald Greens, Fairways at Emerald Greens, Emerald Bay, Hickory Bay West, Avalon at Pelican Bay, and Sterling Oaks. Kaye is credited with beginning the revitalization of Naples downtown through the renovation of the former United Telephone building, now known as the Merrill Lynch building.In 1991, Kaye Homes was created to fill a need for the single family entry and first time move up markets in Collier County. A small home including a one acre homesite started at $59,900. While maintaining a core business in the entry level, home prices gradually increased. Between the late 90’s and 2007, Kaye Homes delivered between 85 and 145 homes a year. In 2004, the custom home division began delivering homes valued up to $1,000,000. In 2006, Custom Homes by Kaye entered the home makeover market.Throughout all price points, the Kaye Companies’ corporate culture remains maximizing value through understanding customer needs, and creating an enjoyable homebuilding experience. During the great recession, new construction came to a halt. Business was sustained through renovations and short sale purchases and resales. In late 2014, the model center reopened, and Custom Homes by Kaye (aka Kaye Lifestyle Homes) began building new homes. Prior building designs were tweaked and new plans introduced. Today, Kaye Lifestyle Homes remains the market leader for scattered home sales throughout Collier County.
