Leading a team consisting of Operators and Mechanical and Electrical Technicians in the Operations Department producing nappies for the European market. Ensuring the delivery of KPI’s for safety, quality, waste and uptime are met through the use of and adherence to Safe Working Practices and Standard Operating Procedures. The coaching and mentoring of team members, clearly defining roles and responsibilities, conducting performance reviews and appraisals, competency sign off, and leading by example in order to achieve results.Agreeing and clearly communicating the daily production plan and machine targets, assigning tasks and reviewing progress against the objectives set.Monitoring of OEE on a continuous basis and taking steps through escalation processes in the event of non conformance to enable adequate support for corrective actions.Production reporting to Shift and Asset Management of performance against KPI’s and limiting factors.Facilitating handovers to oncoming shifts and day based support functions.Actively promoting the use of Lean tools such as 5S, TPM, and Standard Work to drive Continuous Improvement.Coordination and planning of the team’s activities during planned and unplanned maintenance, size changes and ensuring all tasks are completed within agreed time frames.Quality auditing of finished product and packaging to eliminate manufacturing defects and ensure adherence to specification.
