I’ve devoted my career to commercial transactions, concentrating on equity financing, securities issuances, business acquisitions, pass-through entities, enterprise tax planning, and corporate structure. During more than 30 years of professional practice, I’ve lectured to business people, accountants, and fellow lawyers on topics such as corporation law, income tax and business reorganization, and have structured and shepherded hundreds of transactions, both domestically and internationally.In 1978, The University of Michigan awarded me a B.A., with high distinction, with a concentration in economics. In 1981, I earned a J.D., cum laude, also from The University of Michigan.I serve on the Board of Trustees of Michigan’s second-largest Conservative Jewish congregation, Adat Shalom Synagogue, and regularly devote time to community and charitable endeavors. I also hold a position on the Detroit Cabinet of the Jewish Theological Seminary.
