I head a team of experienced and conscientious lawyers in our Private Client Department and I specialise in Wills and Probate, Tax Planning, Powers of Attorney and Care Fee advice. I also have a particular expertise in preparation of Trusts and Inheritance Tax planning and advising clients on reducing liability to future residential care charges. I also assist clients in the administration of estate and trusts from commencement to conclusion.I also introduced and drive the Watson Ramsbottom initiative to provide comprehensive estate planning reports to clients of the firm at no charge to ensure they are informed of the options available to them.I am a Full Member of the Society of Trusts & Estate Practitioners (STEP), and entitled to use the TEP designation having completed the Diploma course. The letters TEP add a degree of recognition for my current and potential clients, and indicate a real understanding of issues I deal with on a daily basis. Through a pro-active approach, I provide solutions which are compatible with all the latest developments in this area of law. By completing the STEP Diploma, I have also been also been able to show a knowledge and understanding of trusts and estates that will be converted into practical, applied competence for the benefit of my clients. I lead a team of dedicated volunteers in the management and development of this great club.I am very proud to have been invited to take over as Chairman after 11 years as Secretary.

Together with a small but hard-working committee of volunteers we are together responsible for all aspects of the smooth running of the club which operates 3 senior teams and 5 junior teams from under 9s through to under 18s.
