Manage the delivery of 1-5 year Network Maintenance Programs including providing maintenance work programs to delivery partners, program monitoring to ensure they meet performance risk and cost outcomes in line with startegic goals. I am the Team Leader of an experienced and highly capable team of Engineers, Scientists and Specialists managing the condition and identifying rehabilitation / replacement of over 25000kms of sewer and 450kms of stormwater canals, pipes and creeks, across all of Sydney Water's area of operations.The role involves work planning / programming, negotiating with service providers, reviewing condition reports and videos and seeking approvals via business cases for rehabilitation/ renewal or appropriate corrective maintenance.My team also manages odour and corrosion, salt water ingress and silt management within the seer network to ensure a safe workplace (when person entry is required), minimise odours to the community and improve capacity deficiencies within the network.It is an exciting role with many challenges and opportunities, and allows me to learn about new left field issues and work across many areas of the organisation including strategy, finance, governance, supply chain, capex / opex service providers and area team operators. External stakeholders include IPART, EPA, NPWS, other utilities and councils and our customers.I also represent Sydney Water as a Board Member at the Streets Opening Co-ordination Council (SOCC NSW), founded in 1909 - www.streetsopening.com.au. SOCC NSW is a volunteer organisation of utility professionals working collaboratively to minimise damage to streetscape assets (under and above ground), minimise disruption to the community and protect worker safety through standardised guidelines for best practise utility asset locations.One of the key projects I am working with SOCC is the iWORCS collaboration tool which has users such as Sydney Water, RMS, Jemena and a significant number of councils

The NSW Streets Opening Coordination Council (SOCC) www.streetsopening.com.au is a voluntary association of member organisations that have agreed to meet together for resolution of issues on a cooperative basis, respecting each member's rights and obligations in providing their respective services to the community.The objectives of the SOCC NSW & ACT are to:1) foster co-ordination of underground utility works, avoid damage to other underground services, and minimise the impact of those activities on the local natural and built environment;2) establish agreed footway allocations and practices for the provision of utility services; 3) minimise interference to traffic and pedestrian flow caused by road openings for the installation, operation and maintenance of utility services; 4) encourage the use of agreed codes and practices for the excavation, back filling and re-instatement of roadways and footways.

I will be representing Sydney Water on the NSW Before you Dig Australia (BYDA) Advisory Council. In this role I hope to encourage greater uptake of BYDA particularly those customers that own assets in the public streetscape eg private pressure sewermains. Another opportunity to holding constructors to account for damage to Sydney water assets for recouping costs.
