Established in 2011 MiHaven is a Cairns based B Corp social enterprise specialising in property development, construction, and industry-based training. I am accountable for overseeing the day-to-day operations of MiHaven. This role involves leading a team of 60+ staff across multiple diverse business units, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of our services. Success is measured by driving revenue growth, managing human resources, and implementing systems and processes to optimise operational efficiencies.

Accountable to seek out opportunities for expansion and growth for this start-up indigenous building and construction business by developing new relationships within all tiers of government, not for profit, and large corporations. Reporting to a Board of Directors, the role required the development of a strategic plan to optimise productivity, and to review and improve organisational effectiveness by developing processes, employee leadership, establishing a highly motivated work environment, and implementing innovative changes.

Accountable for strategically developing and leveraging strong relationships focused on small and medium business (SMB) outcomes with government, industry and community stakeholders in line with national strategy.Drive and support nbn’s rural and remote Business Segment initiatives, the delivery of nbn’s commercial objectives, including SMB understanding, positivity, and rapid take-up of business grade nbn services, and lift customer experience and brand reputation within this segment.Developed and fostered ICT industry channel partnerships to drive demand for nbn business products resulting in significant uplift of Enterprise Ethernet and business satellite solutions. Identified and brought to fruition co-investment partnerships to optimise nbn’s network footprint within business areas. Managed complex stakeholder relationships across a range of industries and sectors. Delivered regular public speaking engagements and facilitated industry stakeholder engagement sessions.

Accountable for the achievement of customer advocacy and financial sales targets plus people development for the frontline Senior Sales Executives and Account Managers that were based in Townsville, Mackay and Cairns.The portfolio consisted of 400+ ‘assigned’ enterprise and government customers throughout North and Far North Queensland. Telstra revenue sales accountabilities of over $40m and customer satisfaction was measured using Net Promoter Score (NPS).In FY16 awarded Queensland General Manager of the year for consistently achieving against all sales metrics of; revenue ($39.5m), sales targets ($12.3m) and NPS targets (45+%).FY17 in a new role with Vita Group, Australia's largest independent retailer of mobile communications and Telstra’s largest partner, my role was to lead the North Queensland account managers, sales support and technical teams as they support, meet and exceed the ICT requirements of business customers through B2B sales. Based in Townsville, I led and opened Telstra's first Business Technology Centre in the country and implemented the new national sales strategy of using Challenger Insights to consult to SMB customers across the region of Townsville, Mackay and Mount Isa.

The primary purpose of this role was to provide cost effective, innovative ICT solutions to meet the needs of the council, ensuring that the Corporate Services Business Unit and Council objectives were met. The role was accountable for the strategic IT direction of council and life-cycle management of all ICT assets. It embraced the research, development and implementation of innovative business solutions through managing vendor and supplier relationships.
