I am an academic researcher with a real passion for the sales/commercial side of science. I am a great communicator and enjoy talking about my work and science in general. Roles that allow me to project my knowledge and communication skills really get the best out me and these are environments where I thrive in. My superpower is my drive and willingness to succeed in anything I do and my personal mantra is always to ‘Take the plunge’.

Higher Scientific Officer/ Biologist
This research involved working at the ICR in Sutton on a drug discovery project in collaboration with a “Big pharma” commercial partner to target the BCL9/β-catenin protein-protein interaction in WNT-signalling in colorectal cancer cells. It mainly involves screening many compounds (up to 13,000) in reporter-based or degradation-based assays. I have also done a bit of molecular gateway cloning to establish stable cell lines for targeted degradation of a protein of interest in a PROTAC type model. This project gave me experience of in a drug discovery setting in collaboration with an industrial partner.
