The legacy he has left behind to raise the standard of engineering competence amongst our contingent of engineering staff will last for years to come. Track Partnership was an alliance between London Underground and Balfour Beatty for the delivery of their track renewals workbank and capital directorate projects.In the role of Construction Manager I was responsible for all construction activities associated with a project, ensuring the successful delivery of effective construction methodologies and providing the most economic solution to the client whilst introducing the most up to date modern technology to enable timely deliveries.I was able to introduce modern Switch & Crossing delivery methods such as the use of Kirow rail cranes and the PEM / LEMs with absolute confidence in millimetre perfection install.During my time at Track Partnership I was heavily involved in many firsts, such as:- Feb 2014: Installation of the first modular switch & crossing layout installed at Ruislip. This was also the first ever site on London Underground to be subjected to level 3 stressing (stressing of S&C)- December 2015: Installation of the first set of modular scissors (nationally), this was built loose due to the lack of modular wagons or a Kirow at this time- September 2016: Installation of LU's first ever check curve on concrete bearers which was installed at FarringdonFurther Switch & Crossing Renewals and End State Layout Projects delivered on time and within budget include Ruislip Jn (4x Modular Units – First of type for LU using Kirow 810), Ealing Common (installation of 7No. concrete units using a Kirow 250), Earls Court West Jn (5 x Modular Units and 400m associated ballasted track renewal including concrete sleepers with rubber pads), Royal Oak,(2 x Modular units using PEM / LEMs), Neasden South Jn (14 x modular units over 5 weekend 48hr campaigns – first for type on TBTC track all using the Kirow 810) and Kings Cross Scissors crossover (first modular scissors installed in the UK rail industry).
