The Alma project was conceived as a social enterprise with the sole purpose of helping those children who are not receiving school meals many of which are in high risk countries as defined by the World Food Program. There are many reasons why these children are not receiving a daily nutritious meal; these include the lack of cooking facilities, inadequate storage areas for raw materials, inadequate supply of fuel for cooking and the availability of skilled cooks who can produce the staple Corn Soya Blend to good standards.
