With 30 years experience since I began my career in the oil and gas IndustryI am currently working in the role of well interventions engineer with Elemental Energy in Aberdeen with Repsol being the current client. My role involves the planning and execution of all types of well intervention workscopes from from concept through to delivery and end of well reporting. I have been involved in most types of well intervention workscopes including Hydraulic Workover Unit P&A scopes, and also various Coiled Tubing, E'lectric line and Slickline interventions, Prior to this I have been responsible for the planning and execution of Subsea scale squeezes and chemical treatments from a DSV. Platform operations including Slick line, Electric line, Coiled Tubing & Pumping to more bespoke interventions with Capillary strings and Annulus interventions with Coil Hose. I have also managed well interventions that required the mobilsation and interfacing of Jack up work barges to Normally Unmanned Instalaltions. Other recent workscopes have included subsea well Plug and Abandonments in the southern North Sea. This involved the reservoir abandonment of depleted subsea wells and the removal off subsea trees with a Light Well Intervention Vessel. These operations were particularly challenging in SNS due to the shallow water depth which subsequently restricts the lengths of intervention tooling that could be deployed. My roles in this position also include liaising with subsurface teams to establish well intervention requirements, to carry out intervention feasibility studies and operational cost analysis for AFE. My role also entails the engineering and preparation of operational programmes followed by the project management of the operation.
