My career started in the civil service before working in sales and recruitment. l joined British Airways in the 1990s and had a wonderful decade travelling the world as a commercial and operational manager. I spent 5 years working in Johannesburg where our children were born. Since then I have worked for myself, Whitewater Consulting (management consulting) in Belfast, British Gas in central L&D, Parity. I joined IDG as a Senior Consultant and developed into the role of Head of Client Engagement and led a team focused on developing new and existing client relationships as well as continuing to design and deliver leadership development programmes. I'm now working as Head of Learning and Development with The Fruitful Group. This is a varied role but essentially I’m working with the team in creating individual and team development initiatives such as leadership programmes and Certified DiSC practitioners that improve performance.
