I have held senior roles as both Head of Care and Depute Head of Care within residential school settings and I am currently part of Quarriers Senior Management Team. I am experienced in working with young people are affected by emotional and behavioural issues and have developed my knowledge in latter years working with young people with additional support needs due to a range of disabilities or conditions, including Autism and Asperger's Syndrome. I have prior management experience in a variety of residential child care settings within the community in smaller care home settings. I retrained many years ago, changing the direction of my working life committing to work in social care. Prior to this I had worked in senior positions within the travel industry. I achieved a Business Management qualification and my grounding in business has proved valuable as I have progressed within the social care environment. The key business principals learned within commercial settings continue to serve me within the evolving and dynamic care sector environment.
