Key activities included:• Working with the CEO, a refined business growth strategy, a digital transformation for the Group, and transformation required of key business units were set out• Assisting with selection, development and coaching of new top team• Chairing and providing oversight to the digital transformation (ie website, technical architecture, customer data platform and SEO improvements to drive more online traffic to the business)• Providing governance oversight of a key business unit consolidating (from five businesses into one new division) to support online sales.

• Key member of the Steering Group to merge two charities that resulted in the creation of Carers Trust at start of 2012, then launched the new merged charity at St James’s Palace in the presence of the patron, HRH The Princess Royal, and major donors.• Sat on Audit and Board Nominations Committees, and Board of Carers Enterprise Ltd (CEL), subsidiary of Carers Trust. • Supported ongoing restructuring leading to sustainable, stronger finances• Managed the corporate relationship with the Coop Group (who selected Carers Trust as their Charity of the Year). Primary interface to the Coops Board members / Management Board, and attended many events to speak/promote awareness of unpaid Carers, raising over £5m to support a plethora of projects• Being recognised by Trustee of the Year awards (2013)• Speaker at many notable locations to prospective donors/fund raising events, supporting the patron, and engaging with MPs in Westminster, Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast to influence political support of carers• Passionately supported respite breaks for carers where relationships were established with a conglomerate of hotels to provide breaks of 2-5 nights, and a ‘Young Carers in School’ initiative, where schools put support structures in place to support these children (aged 5-16).
