An effective and efficient self-starter, able to self-manage and lead teams to deliver against milestones and timelines, I've worked on a diverse range of projects over the past 22 years, mainly for corporate clients, and more recently the NHS. Very much used to working on own initiative, a good facilitator and communicator at all levels, often consulted to resolve problematic business issues and projects. A fast learner of new technologies, business/market domains, I have become very adept at self-learning to a deep/technical level quickly. 20 years of undertaking Business Analysis roles mainly in software development, but also business change/transformation projects, has provided me with a wealth of experience in technologies, techniques and team collaborations, resulting in some great delivery successes.Solutions I’ve been key in delivering have involved re-configuring existing systems, business process re-modelling, full on new systems development or a combination of these.I have worked in diverse areas; motor insurance claims, crash testing facilities, finance ledger data migrations (merging multiple ledgers to Workday ERP), pharmacy stock control, hospital sterilisation instrument processing data migration, corporate gym membership, hospital comms device migration to name just a few. I am happy to be dropped into business areas totally new to me as it is something I’m very used to (a good BA will thrive regardless of business type/subject matter).I have also had the pleasure working with a consultant for a year, developing an MS Excel based risk calculation tool (that I personally enhanced to measure company exposure risk) and also specifying a complex finance calculation tool (with increasing future values) for a high end Italian vehicle manufacturer. Having had programming experience the most diverse was finding a single error in thousands of lines of code that impacted a front end function!My past 3 years have been more data centric; managing enterprise Data Engineer demand pipeline/work assignment, and to oversee data deliverables for projects being on time and fit for purpose, acting in a consulting SME capacity for data strategy planning, data science proof-of-concepts, and chairing data request forums for fast tracking data/report requests/working with NHS England (while the company’s hospitals supported the NHS during Covid) are a few examples of my more recent activities. Openness, collaboration and honesty are key to me.My primary motivation is making change happen and (importantly) making change work in the real world.
