Involved with activities across the wind industry to deliver strategic advisory services. I work with government and industry to enable the collaboration required to achieve renewable energy targets. I deliver market insight to organisations to inform strategic decision making. This requires research into wind industry technology, market and supply chain. I engage with my industry network to ensure I have the latest insight into current trends and thinking.

Involved with activities across the business helping to deliver strategic advisory services across BVGA’s core areas of expertise. I undertakes desk-based research into wind industry technology, market and supply chain. To ensure my knowledge is relevant and up to date I engage with industry on latest information, gaining insight into current trends and thinking.

Worked on a variety of engineering tasks. These included: pipe design and stress analysis, probability studies for dropped objects, technical report writing, and analysis of population densities to determine pipeline safety. This required the ability to digest highly technical information in industry standards, applying complex mathematics to probability studies, fluency in the engineering program AutoPipe and a keen eye for detail.

Involved in several projects at Flour. Initially worked in change management, a role which required exceptional personnel management, communication and organisation skills to align multiple engineering disciplines to a common goal while delegating work fronts to teams spread globally. These abilities were further enhanced while working on-site in a construction management role in South Wales. The main responsibility of which was to ensure productivity of subcontractors: planning tasks on a continually moving three week ahead basis and reacting to changing circumstances on-site quickly to avoid downtime. Following this I worked in piping design functions, where I was responsible for designing plot layouts, creating general arrangements for equipment and performing calculations (e.g. determination of required wall thickness). Demonstrating my ability to conceptualise and solve technical problems.

Involved in the testing and analysis of companies’ Annual Accounts. This methodical work required close attention to detail and comprehensive quality control checks to remove all cosmetic errors and ensure brand continuity across accounts.

Undertook several research activities. Including market research, lab-based testing and analysis of testing data against industry standards. Largest contribution was the development of a mathematical model in Excel simulating test data which significantly reduced costly and resource heavy lab-testing required to gain CE marking for a product in development.
