In this volunteer role I share my story either virtually or in-person to different audiences, this might be to schools, businesses or at Guide Dog events.Networking with the organisation I deliver the talk to, about ways they can support Guide Dogs.Being an ambassador for Guide Dogs!

Using our retired Guide Dog Sid who has qualified as a Brand Ambassador dog. He represents the Guide Dogs cause and helps volunteers to tell their stories. As part of the Guide Dogs family he helps raise funds, build awareness of our work, and reach more supporters and beneficiaries.

I work as a volunteer to board trainee guide dogs. I help support them in all aspects of their training at their centre in Redbridge. I also respite working guide dogs who may need some extra support if they have sustained an injury, had a recent operation or just need a period of time away from their role as a guide dog. This could last from a couple of days up to several months.

Running The Greater London region for Anytime Fitness Franchises UK. The region consists of over 40 sites. Building successful business strategies, maximising profitable membership and sales growth, and providing a robust framework to support the growing Anytime Fitness franchise network in the UK.Duties IncludeProviding leadership and ongoing support to franchisees to help grow their businesses, achieve their objectives and increase profitabilityExecuting strong Business Reviews and resources in alignment with vast growth strategiesOverseeing the financial function of the franchisee businesses, including a strong delivery of budgeting and financial reportingDriving brand standards and ensuring compliance with Anytime Fitness operational systems within the networkImplementing consistent compliance processes to the network, and ensuring these are fulfilled at all timesDelivering continuous process improvement initiatives to franchiseesConduct club visits and training around the UK.

In charge of launching and sourcing all new sites. Managing and recruiting GMs, driving revenue through training and development of people, monitoring all lines of the p and l to ensure the business hits its monthly/quarterly and yearly targets.

Launching a new boutique gym in East London. Obtaining the highest pre-sales opening number for The Fitness Space. Winning club opening of the year 2018. Running all aspects of the gym and driving EBITDA.

Successfully launching the 2 largest sites within the business. Winning club opening of the year, runner up for GM of the year and finalist at the Flame Awards for budget club of the year (Ealing). Running the largest membership base club within the company and achieving the 2nd highest EBITDA club consistently.4 of my staff members also went on to become General Managers within The Gym Group.

Temporary contract. Worked on a national level to source new business. I also worked closely with the part time division and ran monthly national workshops to train promotional staff to work as membership consultants in the leisure division.

Working as a Roaming General Manager within Virgin Active. The role included all aspects of club management and overseeing a large portfolio of sites within the region.
