Full Stack Developer who primarily works with React & Net Core (C#) on a daily basis. I also have strong skills working with Express & the MERN stack as-well as newer up-coming "buzz word" technologies such as; Storybook, GraphQL, Microservices, CQRS and Cloud Development. I have created, worked on and deployed multiple applications that are still used today including web-applications for Wealth Management, Estate Agency & Solicitor CRM and Report/Document Writer software. I've also been part of a larger team working to maintain legacy compliance mangement software that was used globally.One of my primary skill points is working with C# and building libraries - with one of my more recent libaries wrapping arround the RabbitMQ technology to enable developers to get their Microservices connected and sharing messages quickly and efficently within a single multi-organisation environment. In the past I have also built libraries for importing & exporting spreadsheet data in web-applications and also a basic authentication platform.I've also begun working and learning about deployment pipelines and container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes. With this, I have already setup small pipelines publishing some of my projects from Github to my own VPS running Docker. With Cloudflare, I have setup secure SSL certification for each of the projects running on subdomains that are routed through a proxy to my running containers. Security of web applications has become a bit of a passion of mine because of this!With this experience, I have managed to build an extensive enough knowledge base in web development that has then enabled me to lead a small team of developers on a daily basis. Currently, I am working as Save & Invests IT Manager/Lead Web Developer, working to build & improve upon the bespoke mission-critical products that are used to manage their clients portfolios daily.Previously, I was a Senior Web Developer at Jacobs. I architected the system based on a microservices solution to enable scaling of independent modules, such as valuations when the data was in demand. I then built an integration package/library for the RabbitMQ service bus to allow communication and data sharing between each service.Used Microsoft Azure to put the application onto the cloud. Built all the VMs and Docker Compose files to get each Microservice up-and-running. Configured all the cloud security and reverse proxies to route through Cloudflare. Setup a MySQL server using MariaDB and setup daily running backups each night.In 2024, Save & Invest Financial Planning became a founding member in a new company, Shackleton - Britain's financial adviser.

Took the lead with daily team meetings as-well-as Monday morning stand-ups to plan the weeks tasks.Worked on the Structured Portfolio Campaign during this time. I was required to write an application to take our current client's portfolios and calculate what had to be sold & bought to move them into one of our structured portfolios based on their volatility profile. This program also had to work out MIFID2 and product costs, taxes, etc. Once all that data was collected, I wrote a program that compiled it all into neatly structured letters that could then be printed and sent our clients for confirmation. Once the signed conset was returned, I had to package all the transactions up and send them to our admin team to start processing them.I was also in charge of helping to recruit and train 4 graduate software developers during the year of 2021 ready to start our in-pipeline WealthPro 3 project.

Some of the key projects that I worked in during my time here are:- WealthPro: A bespoke solution for IFAs to manage their clients investments on a day to day basis. Gave overviews of any outstanding tasks, reports to be written, and their clients portfolio value broken down into the various assets they hold. This was a legacy web-application written in C# MVC 3 with Ext.NET as the primary front-end framework.- Report Writer: C# MVC web application with AngularJS as the front end that allows report writers within the company to piece together a structured report in 'sections' that are then compiled into a final report/document. The created documents can be added to a private or shared 'library' of documents to be used as templates for writing additional reports for other clients. This applications also uses SignalR to provide real-time updates and allow collaboration while writing documents.- Savoir: Recently taken over this project from a former member of our development team. Half finished C# MVC web application that uses Ext.net (latest with Extjs 6) as the front end framework. It has since be re-written from the ground up to use AngularJS on the front-end and Web 2.0 API tied to a MySQL database for the backend. This application is to be used by solicitors and estate agents within the Save and Invest group to manager clients and properties more efficiently.
