After a period working with Attenda on a consulting basis in 2013 to help refine and update Attenda's strategy and its market message, I joined on a permanent basis with responsibility for delivery of our Services and the technology and platforms which enable us to deliver them.Key achievements:-- Crystallised key aspects of Attenda's strategy and vision including marketing materials for our Hybrid IT strategy- Established a structured approach to mapping out a long range vision for Attenda services, with input from our clients and industry sources. BroadGroup specialises in market analysis and consultancy in the data centre, managed services and cloud markets. Stuart contributes analysis and consultancy as an associate of BroadGroup alongside his independent consultancy work. Assignments included commercial and technical due diligence of acquisitions and refinancing in the wholesale data centre, public cloud services, managed services and co-location markets.Stuart also authored BroadGroup's 2010 Data Centre Security report.

Baldwin Bell Green (BBG) helps clients achieve lasting business value and competitive differentiation through better management of complexity, costs, operations and IT, and the drivers of competitive differentiation and value.Stuart is an associate consultant bringing IT and commercial/contractual knowledge to strategic engagements such as sourcing programmes.

dunnhumby is a highly successful subsidiary of Tesco responsible for commercialising data driven customer insight from Clubcard. dunnhumby provides services to retailers and suppliers mainly through a SaaS product set centred around data and insight tools. Dunnhumby has operations in twenty countries including France, Ireland, Italy, the USA, central Europe and Asia.Stuart was responsible for all technology including development and service delivery of the dunnhumby SaaS product portfolio and internal IT supporting a global workforce. Led a team of ~100 dunnhumby staff in the UK and USA plus outsourced development resources.Introduced Agile methods. Refreshed product set to increase speed to value in new international markets. Used agile approaches to rapidly deliver innovative new products such as a tool able to predict the detailed results of new pricing offers (e.g. 2 for 1 etc) at the level of volume, revenue and margin, per store, per day. Upgraded infrastructure to support global expansion (3->15 countries). Outsourced data centres, new in/outsourcing of software development with follow the Sun customer support model.)

Attenda is a medium-sized managed services business which evolved from beginnings in 2000 as a high-end business-focused web host to the "Always On" provider of application managed services (including SAP, Email, etc) for some of the UK's leading businesses.Company and product strategy and implementation. New product (service line) development and introduction. Researched designed and launched security managed services including managed firewall, IDS and 24x7 event monitoring and response.

Attenda was founded by the original founders of marchFIRST in the UK. I joined as Attenda obtained start-up funding. Responsible for setting up technology for this managed services and hosting business including the hosting platform and operational support systems starting with one team member. Specified and implemented data centre physical facility and core network. Created systems to monitor and manage client IT services 24x7 from dedicated management centre. Attained BS7799 (equiv. ISO27001) security certification as well as ITIL certifications from Microsoft, HP and Sun (pre-dated ISO standard for ITIL). Attenda grew to 200 staff and profitability during this period.

Hired to create a consulting group within USWeb/CKS (subsequently marchFIRST) in the UK to complement existing technical/development services. Full P&L responsibility whilst building consulting team from scratch to £5M p.a. revenues in 2 years. Gained clients such as Shell International (major pan-European Web-site and mobile application) and Charcol Online (UK's first mortgage comparison service). Personally responsible for delivery of these engagements leading development and creative teams.

Worked through variety of roles from developer through to project manager before focusing on enterprise architecture. Specialised in emerging channels (multimedia, mobile, online) and Internet-related business models, IT strategy and architecture.Set up and managed Andersen Consulting's first Internet Development Centre in the UK and provided training and support on Internet technologies and business opportunities across Europe and Scandinavia. Gained experience in diverse industries includng retail fin. services, utilities, telecoms, media, insurance, pharmaceuticals (R&D).

Sponsored by British Aerospace during my degree. I complete a pre-university engineering apprenticeship at BAe Weybridge which included hands on engineering skills and working across a variety of departments to gain experience. Moved to the Military Aircraft Division in Warton for summer vacation experience during my degree. During this time I worked in Flight Control working on analysis of test flights, in the advanced materials department on materials for a hypersonic space plane design (BAe/Rolls Royce - HOTOL). I also picked up commercial experience working on a major US government bid response. A fascinating place to be. During my time there, the EAP (Experimental Aircraft Programme) was on-site and conducting flight testing. This was the prototype aircraft for the Eurofighter/Typhoon.
