Voluntary Sector Gateway West Lothian (VSGWL) is the Third Sector Interface (TSI) operating in West Lothian. Our primary purpose is to promote, develop and support West Lothian`s Third Sector. We work in partnership with the voluntary sector and key statutory and public stakeholders to improve the lives of individuals and communities across West Lothian.

The Visit West Lothian Board are committed to helping promote West Lothian as a Visitor Destination. They meet regularly throughout the year to work on specific projects and plan the strategic direction for West Lothian. They also benefit from the support and knowledge of a wider network of individuals who support VWL's activities in an Advisor capacity.

Home-Start support families who live in West Lothian with at least 1 child under 5 years old who are going through a period of difficulty, who are matched with one of our volunteers to provide the direct support in the West Lothian are.Responsible for the day to day management of the scheme. Reporting to and supporting the Board of Trustees to ensure the effective strategic management, development, future funding of the scheme and providing leadership and management to the team.Managing and develop Partnerships with stakeholders that promote Home-Start values and contribute to community development and local policy.Overall responsibility for the management of volunteers to ensure the scheme maintains an effective team of volunteers, as well as implementing policies and procedures including their recruitment, selection, preparation, support and supervision.

Working within the Corporate Partnerships Team in Fundraising and Communications, responsible for recruitment and stewardship of corporate partners to ensure we reaches every child in Scotland that needs us and keep the joy alive for those that we are currently supporting.

Managed team based at four studios in Glasgow, London and Cardiff.directs a wide variety of training opportunities for people living with sight loss. • Manage 14 members of staff - 10 directly in the office at Glasgow and others in each of the London and Cardiff offices remotely - reviewing their work, setting targets to ensure we create excellent, high quality content for target audience • Coached individuals to improve performance of on air presenters, producers and Senior team. • Lead and directly mentors where appropriate a team of 50 volunteers / trainees based in locations across the UK in the production of high quality programming for over 154,000 blind and partially sighted individuals a week• Commissions a wide variety of programming strands to inform, educate and entertain the target audience• Work internally with a variety of departments within RNIB - HR, Internal Communications, Fundraising, the Senior Management Team, etc. - to fully support all campaigns and maximise the impact of its programming and services • Works directly with RNIB fundraisers (Community, Corporate and Trust Funds teams) to design and deliver compelling solutions that deliver revenue. • Managed Talking Books producers to deliver best in class production of audio books. Also managed local volunteers to read books for RNIB Members. • Developed and currently managing a variety of procedures covering safeguarding and risk assessments.
