Rocket Group was set up to target B2B niche opportunities within the music industry with a primary focus on the Export and Import of CD’s and Vinyl Records.

During this time Rocket grew to have 70 staff and a turnover circa $30mil exporting CD's and DVD's to all major countries around the world. The company also launched an Insurance Replcement division, a direct to consumer division and a division that assisted other companies wanting to set up an e-commerce offering.

In my time at Bevilles I helped turn a business that was running the Bevilles web-site as a separate silo, into a business where the web-site became a critical and successful cog in Bevilles overall marketing and sales functions. Most importantly I provided Bevilles with a solution that made the Bevilles customer experience a more convenient and enjoyable one. This involved deploying a new Magento web-site that that was fully integrated with Bevilles POS, Loyalty Program, Gift Card program, Email platform, and Layby program, whilst having strong hosting structures in place that meant the Bevilles web-site was one of the few sites that didn’t crash during the inaugural Click Frenzy event. Also deployed ‘Click and Reserve’ for Bevilles and played a key role in Bevilles restructuring their retail model to move away from large footprint stores that carried jewellery and homewares, to smaller more efficient and profitable stores that are jewellery only.

Built and oversaw JB Hi-Fi's e-commerce and B2B models. Set up an e-commerce infrastructure that delivered profit from day one. Delivered strong sales, profit and conversion rate growth. Implemented solutions for challenges such as keeping e-commerce development costs low, the logistics of Australia wide delivery, identifying optimal pricing and product offering strategies, improving customer experience, aligning e-commerce with the existing store infrastructure.

Rocket Replacements was a JV between Rocket Group and JB Hi-Fi set up to build a B2B division for JB Hi-Fi and assist JB Hi-Fi with their e-commerce roll out. Built a national sales force that sold to businesses in the industries of Hotels and Accomodation, Education, Health, Marketing and Rewards, and Insurance Replacement. Provided e-commerce content management, stock control and distribution solutions for JB Hi-Fi. This company was sold to JB Hi-Fi Limited in July 2007 and as part of that sale I joined JB Hi-Fi as General Manager -Online & Commercial.
