I spent about 8 weeks on my summer working with the Mechanical and Electrical team at Mace on a building site near Victoria Station in London. During this time, I saw the internal workings of a building and was surprised at the quantity of mechanical components that keep a building working. This also gave me an in depth understanding of the working environment in a major company as well as an idea of the sort of work that I could be doing.
