I worked on a series of Android (Java) apps which incorporated Crunchfish's proprietary gesture recognition technology to interact with a mobile device in a similar fashion to their GoCam app:https://www.crunchfish.com/start-year-gestures-gocam/

Principal responsibilities included: 1) Establishing and implementing internal controls, policies and procedures for accurate and timely financial reporting 2) Generating financial reports for management, statutory tax returns, refinancing projects and an interesting Chapter 11 process 3) Due diligence on potential new projects 4) Led the migration from Sage's Peachtree to M3's AccKnowledge, a cloud based accounting system specifically created for the hospitality industry. Trained all members of staff interacting with the software 5) Troubleshooting IT issues on site (both hardware and software) and administrating our Office 365 Cloud. Oversaw the implementation of Microsoft's BPOS and the subsequent transition to Office 365

Trained and qualified as a chartered accountant.Completed company audits under International Auditing Standards. These engagements included accounts prepared under International (IFRS) and UK (UKGAAP) accounting standards.Involved at all stages of the audit process from planning to completion, which required being the primary point of contact with the client and their staff for the duration of the audit process.Experience of performing the full range of audit tests including various substantive and analytical procedures. This has included more judgemental and technical areas such as revenue recognition on long term contracts and more recently going concern considerations in a recession.Have worked on non statutory audits such as charities, pensions, grant claims and other assurance assignments.I also have experience of accounts preparation work and creating tax information packs by interrogating client systems.

The initial phase of my accountancy training involved more straightforward audit testing procedures at a broad range of clients.
