Duties involved developing skills required to effectively plan and implement as well as reflect on secondary school lessons. Based in the Vocational faculty I was a trainee Business Studies and Economics teacher. Year groups I taught included Year 7 Enterprise, Year 9 Business Studies, Year 9 Economics, Year 10 Economics, Year 9/10 BTEC, Year 12/13 Business Studies. I was graded OUTSTANDING for term 1.

My responsibilities include but not limited to merchandising, improving the range of products stocked, limiting known losses, improving availability, limiting stock holding without compromising availability, setting up stores, ordering stock and booking stock in. The main KPI in my role is to reduce stock holding whilst ensuring that as many products as possible are on sale to the public, this involves using the max/min method of controlling stock as well as manual ordering. Over the past 3 years I have achieved a 5% stock holding reduction for my store whilst achieving a yearly availability score of under 2.00% out of stocks for the entire range of products we stock there. If anything this job role highlights my ability to work well under pressure during peak periods of trading whilst being able to support the team leaders and management with stock issues, taking control and dealing with any issues which may arise.

Managing a team of replenishment assistants in replenishing stock levels from day sales. Other duties involved ensuring all security procedures are in place, being a keyholder for the store. Other duties involved the completion of appraisals as well as AORs for all members of staff, the co-ordination of efforts with the day traders and store manager and the limiting of stock loss.
