• Industrial placement in ARC's Oil & Gas Business Unit in Glasgow, undertaken as part of my MEng degree at the University of Strathclyde. Key responsibilities included:
• Developed consequence modelling tools using Excel PHAST add-in (under development by DNV) for modelling fire size and gas dispersion physical effects.
• Created calculation templates that streamlined post-modelling data retrieval in tabular formats and supported contour plotting for fire and gas dispersion physical effects.
• Improved the consequence modelling workflow by reducing redundancies, which saved 20-50% of the time typically required for modelling on standard projects.
• Feedback provided to DNV facilitated scalability optimisation in the Excel PHAST add-in, resulting in up to a 10-fold reduction of processing times for cloud and local calculations.
• The accompanying thesis received a grade of 72%.

Tutoring first-year students in the Fundamentals of Chemical Engineering course, where key concepts such as mass balances, thermodynamics, and reaction kinetics are introduced.
