Was employed as a project geologist with a focus on diverse greenfields gold and basemetal projects across the Yilgarn. Previously worked on the Bellevue Gold Project as part of the high-performing exploration and resource development team that delineated 3 Moz over a ca. 4-year period.Regional Exploration Experience• Responsible for target generation, prioritisation and ranking through the review of historic datasets, field review (mapping) and data collection (rock chipping, resampling historic drill spoils etc).• Project scale geological modelling (implicit and explicit methods) in Leapfrog.• Drilling program design, project funding requests and Programme-of-Work applications.• Safe and environmentally responsible execution of regional RC drilling programs and subsequent report writing.• Statutory reporting in the form of Annual Technical and Rehabilitation reports.• Demonstrated field safety leadership through the supervision and mentorship of field assistants and graduate geologists while training them in essential skills.Key achievement: Reinterpreted Hartwell Project geology from historic data analysis to ground truthing. Brownfields (near mine) exploration and resource development associated with the tier 1 Bellevue Gold Project.• Developed an understanding of the primary methods, tools and thinking used in modern mineral exploration.• Developed competency in running a busy core yard and trained field technicians in essential skills.• Logged, analysed and interpreted lithologies and mineralisation styles based on diamond core, reverse-circulation chip, and outcrop observations.• Collected structural data from outcrop and diamond core; subsequently modelling, interpreting and evaluating it.• Imported and validated completed drill hole logs using exploration software prior to submission to data managers.• Conducted weekly drill rig inspections, ensuring compliance with site health, safety and environmental standards.• Compiled end-of-hole summaries; outlining key findings to assist future target generation.• Selected and marked-up diamond core samples and completed sample submission paperwork prior to dispatch.• Developed overall software proficiency in Leapfrog, acQuire, Imago and QGIS in addition to MS Word and Excel.Key achievement: Was part of the high-performing exploration and resource development team awarded "Explorer of the Year" by Miningnews.net in 2019.

Achieved an MSc with Merit in Petroleum Geoscience and attained the coveted Imperial Barrel Award (Global Champion) following the delivery of a technical presentation detailing the hydrocarbon prospectivity of the frontier offshore (ultra)deep water Taranaki Basin, NZ at AAPG's ACE conference in Denver CO.While completing this course I received training in:• Tectonics and Lithosphere Dynamics - covering geodynamics and lithosphere deformation, plate tectonics and remote sensing.• Geophysical Analysis - covering seismic acquisition, processing, and interpretation.• Structural Analysis - covering petroleum geomechanics and structural geology for petroleum evaluation.• Sedimentology and Stratigraphy - covering clastic and carbonate sedimentology and stratigraphy, and stratigraphic modelling.• Reservoir Geosciences - covering well log analysis, reservoir geophysics (AVO and seismic inversion), fractured reservoirs, reservoir modelling and fluid flow.• Petroleum Systems - covering geological and economic evaluation of source rocks, petroleum systems, plays and prospects.Field work conducted in the Bristol Channel Basin (structural geology), Wessex Basin (studying a working petroleum system) and within the Spanish Pyrenees (tectonics and sedimentology).Thesis was completed in conjunction with AziNor Catalyst, working within the Faroe-Shetland and Møre Basins.

During this downturn in the Australian mining industry, job prospects were limited, prompting me to redirect my focus towards applying for MSc programs and revising undergraduate course material.This strategic shift was aimed at effectively transitioning back into education and preparing myself for geoscience roles in the oil and gas industry.

Was employed as an open pit mine geologist at Consolidated Minerals’ Pilbara Chromite operations (Coobina), which produced ca. 400,000 metric tonnes of lump, chip and sands grade chromite per annum from a structurally complex, layered ultra-mafic intrusive body in the Sylvania inlier, Pilbara craton.• Developed competency in blast hole sampling and logging procedures; working in an accurate and timely fashion.• Diligently compiled and managed ore grade control data using Microsoft Excel and Access software.• Imported grade control data into Gemcom Surpac software and subsequently designed accurate ore mark-ups.• Worked alongside mining teams to implement effective dig strategies; minimising dilution, maximising recovery.• Monitored ore stockpiles prior to their processing; ensuring correct haulage and maintaining expected yields.• Delivered daily production forecasts based on block model reports and ore mark-up designs.• Quality controlled the resource model through comparison with ore mark–ups; ensuring pits remained on-design.• Mapped pit walls and pit floors; refining ore–waste contacts and identifying potential geological hazards.• Provided consultation on drill and blast design; accounting for spatial variations in geology.• Was directly involved in the supervision of Pit Technicians and the training of three new members of staff.• Developed strong safety awareness; completing task-specific Take 5’s, JHA’s and light vehicle pre-starts.Key achievement: Implemented various changes to the blast hole sampling and logging workflow, streamlining the process and minimised the opportunity for human error.

Achieved a strong Upper Second Class Honours degree in Earth Science.Primary interests lay within the exploration, development and production of Earth's natural resources, with a particular interest in ore genesis and petroleum systems.Course highlights include Petroleum Geology, Geophysics, Advanced Sequence Stratigraphy, Igneous Geology and Economic Mineralogy.

Completed my undergraduate thesis at the ISAAC Lab, University of Glasgow.Trained in various SEM analysis techniques including Secondary Electron (SE), Backscattered Electron (BSE) and Cathodoluminescence (CL) utilising an FEI Quanta 200F Environmental Scanning Electron Microscope.
