Stuart is a Director at Wavehill with 18 years' professional experience in regeneration, economic development and related fields. He is a specialist in the field of economic development and is a lead on project and programme evaluation, as well as being experienced in undertaking socio-economic impact assessments and appraisal work.He has particular interests around projects and policy supporting progress towards zero-carbon targets as well as work supporting culture-led growth in communities. His experience also covers a broad spectrum of economic development fields, including business support, sector development, innovation, land and property, energy infrastructure and skills & employability. This work is primarily contracted by Government departments, Local Enterprise Partnerships, Local Authorities, Developers, and other public and private sector bodies.Stuarts work has enabled him to support a broad range of projects, from visiting the Falkland Islands to analyse the social and economic impacts of oil and gas exploitation, evaluating the breadth of outcomes delivered by Hull's 2017 UK City of Culture, and leading our work as part of the team evaluating the Government's flagship Renewable Heat Incentive policy.Areas of expertise include:- Evaluation of economic development projects and programmes (including European-funded activity)- Economic and social impact assessment- Project and funding bid drafting and appraisal- Economic research and strategy development.Stuart is also a member of both the Institute for Economic Development and the UK Evaluation Society.Email address is stuart.merali-younger@wavehill.com
