About Stuart Crabb
30-year veteran of the valley tech industry, a multi-disciplinary HR leader who has led People & Learning/OD functions at start-ups and tech multinationals during the last two great cycles of hyper growth and innovation in the industry, in both Europe and the US. My strengths are naturally expressed through good strategic perspective, an execution orientation, decision making based on data and a positive & optimistic work style. I am principally inspired by a compelling vision & purpose, and the runway to build the organization that can deliver on that vision.I've led both the People and Learning & Development functions at tech giants Siemens, Yahoo! and Facebook and have advised more than 100 early stage startups since 2016. During my seven & half years at Facebook, I was the principle architect of the company’s now famous strengths-based, high-performance strategy, and led the design and launch of it’s widely acclaimed new hire, manager development and leader development programs. I also played a people leadership role in the extensive planning that helped Facebook go public, and rocket the company to the top of the Glassdoor index of best places to work in corporate America. I have traveled, lived and worked in more than 45 countries, and have extensive international HR experience, including helping organizations establish new global operations, and teaching leaders across Europe, Asia and The Americas. I am an Executive Coach, and trained at the Hudson Coaching Institute of Santa Barbara. Originally from the UK, I migrated to the US in 2005 and became a proud citizen in 2019. I now live and work remotely from Hawaii, and have three adult daughters. As a gay man, I am deeply passionate about the need for equality & equity in the workplace, and in particular, for the rights and opportunities of under-represented LGBTQ+ people of color. This has formed some of the most meaningful work I have done professionally in my career, and served as a source of immense personal growth & learning for myself in the process.
