Providing design and technical services for start-ups and established conscious-led lingerie brands has allowed me to diversify my work and gain further knowledge in an industry I am passionate about. Key responsibilities include:→ Market research and design concept creation for a variety of conscious brands and market levels. → Collection building through sketches, draping and coloured CAD's. → Sourcing of suitable fabrics and trims in-line with the individual brand's sustainability needs.→ Developing retail standard technical drawings and technical packs and updating during the development process. → Communicating and negotiating with manufacturers. → Reviewing and providing feedback on garment samples, lab dips, bulk submissions, strike offs, components, fabrics and test reports. → Fitting samples and providing feedback to both the client and manufacturer.

As a small underwear brand with a strong focus on sustainable design and practices, Bon and Berg has allowed me to gain further knowledge of conscious design and production. Key contributions:→ Updated the fit, construction and durability of existing styles, through fittings, the creation of new technical packs, fabric testing and liaising with the manufacturer to source alternative quality components. → Created new designs in line with the target market and sustainable goals of the brand - including a new triangle bra style for D - F cups due to customer demand.

Working with a small knowledgeable team across core, sport, contract and swimwear ranges, Panache helped me to gain an in-depth understanding of the production process, testing & quality of fabrics and components, certifications & standards within the apparel industry, as well as construction of specialist products/underwear for D+ sizes. Key contributions:→ Requested technical specifications, test reports and trims to ensure the durability/quality and composition of fabrics and trims were in line with set standards. → Assessed lab dips, bulk submissions and strike off's, matching to the colour standard or approved print sample provided using Verivide colour assessment cabinet, ensuring core styles are consistent order to order, and new styles were to standard from sample to production and providing feedback to the manufacturer. → Updated and organised the component critical path and files daily to allow easy review of the development process and provide feedback to the merchandising team on component approval.→ Facilitated in the update of the current computer system to improve communication between merchandising, technical team and manufacturer.

As a fast-paced global fashion retailer for consumers aged 18-34, Asos helped me to understand how to conduct market research, review trends and create sellable designs for a young, competitive market. Key contributions:→ Collaborated with designers to research and present new season design ideas through exhibition visits, street style photography, inspiration shopping and analysing trends from runway shows and magazines. → Produced inspiration boards, trend packs and street style reports for meetings and management.→ Designed coloured CAD drawings for range planning and manufacturers. → Sourced suitable fabrics and trims for the in-house sample team.

Working closely with the designer, machinist and other team members, Tessa Edwards gave me an insight into the workings of a small luxury brand, providing an understanding of the creativity and construction involved in making unique designs for a niche market. Key contributions:→ Contributed to the day to day running of a small luxury fashion brand by helping set up pop-up shops, deliver garments to photoshoots and communicate with local suppliers.→ Carried out research on the designer's chosen subject to aid ideas for new collections.→ Sourced required fabric and trims for samples and final product. → Assisted with the construction of garments through adaptation of patterns and hand sewing.

Key contributions:→ Offered a welcoming and friendly environment by maintaining the front of house and providing a high standard of service, encouraging return customers. → Assisted in the preparation and smooth-running of events by organising and replenishing stock.
